Hello dippydora

Do you have a date yet for the IVA creditors meeting?

Best wishes

Hi Mike
Hope you are well
No date yet. Payplan have just put the proposal together. They said it can take a while to get a date. Fingers crossed its sooner rather than later

Hello dippydora

Doing grand thanks and trust you are managing okay?

I went back through your previous thread re the IVA.

How do you intend to get the IVA concluded before it's six year term, are you offering a lump-sum to end early, and is it a six year IVA?

Or are you asking creditors to close it as being 'satisfactory' and to not ask for any more payments due to your ongoing health issues?

This could take from 6-8 weeks before to get a resolution, will you be making payments in the interim?

Best wishes,
Mike

Yes I'm not doing too badly thanks Mike. Maintenance chemo keeping the little bugger at bay.

Yes it's health issues mainly. Also unable to remortgage for the last year. Nobody will lend us money because of our age, health and income being less now than when we took out the mortgage.

Supervisor is satisfied that we can't continue, just hope my creditors agree. Not making payments as Payplan have given the creditors final figures after Augusts payment. I am putting that money aside though just in case

Hello dippydora

I'm pleased you decided to follow my advice and approach your IVA provider and it is heartening to read that the IVA supervisor is also supportive of your circumstances in that you can no longer afford to pay into the IVA.

What you will be seeking is a completion certificate once your creditors have agreed to end the IVA prematurely.

Please let me know once you have a creditors meeting date, try not to worry about this, I'm very confident it will conclude soon.

My very best wishes,
Mike ;)

So hope you are right Mike. I do remember you suggesting I try this a while ago but I wanted to get to the end of five years, felt like I needed to pay back. Just got the date 20th October. Was expecting to wait a lot longer. Keeping everything crossed my creditors agree, would take away so much stress

Thanks dippydora.

I've made made a note of the date and I'm still very confident you will get the vote to accept early closure from your creditors.

Best wishes,
Mike

Hi Mike

All smiles today.
Creditors agreed to end my Iva. Such a relief. Said will take between 3 and 6 months to get the completion certificate.
Seems a long time. Is that normal? :D :D
