Great news Jules :D

What was the details of your offer? Looking back the debt in your IVA was £34,00 and by now it should have been running for three years with two years left and a possible equity clause, extra year?.

So what I am getting at, and it will help others that visit this forum in a similar situation, what was the amount the creditors accepted to end your IVA?

Bet you have a sore head tomorrow ;)

Best wishes, and well done.

Mike

Thank you both!!

Sorry, did reply twice last night but neither of them posted from my phone

It would have been 3 years at the end of next month and after 5 years I was going to have to remortgage to get £13k or pay for another year. I offered £4.5k which was accepted by all creditors. I waited all day for that phone to ring!

The worst thing from this experience was owning up to it in the first place. The thought of never having to hide a letter or put my phone on silent again is such a relief. There is light at the end of the tunnel although it doesn't feel like it at the time. I went to hell and back and without the support of my colleagues, husband and complete strangers like Mike and other users of this forum, I wouldn't have made it!!!

Good luck to you all and I can't wait to see that completion certificate (however long it takes)

xx

Just paid the lump sum, signed the paperwork and was advised it may take up to 6 months to complete everything.

Still can't believe it will soon be over :D

:D very happy for you. Well done for sorting it all out, not easy to dig your way out is it?!

Hoping the next 6 months pass quickly so you can relax and enjoy the family.

Hello Jules64 and worriednurse.

Yes, fab news for Jules64, just need to go through the formalities, close the IVA and then get issued with a completion certificate.

You have changed an awful lot Jules64 since your first post way back on the 16th August 13, and had over 13,000 reads on your thread ;)

Best wishes,

Mike

Hi!

Hope everyone is doing well!! Just thought I'd update you - can you believe I am still waiting for the completion of this IVA??? A company was sorting out the PPI claim and now another company has taken over the claim. I keep signing forms for PPI to be checked as the original ones have lapsed! The 6 years of my IVA is up in March 2017! I don't think the PPI refund cheques were cashed, so ran out!!! They are still chasing the PPI and then can produce the completion certificate - never thought it would take this long!!!

Oh well, onwards and upwards!!!
