Hi Jules

I have replied to your private message but it bounced back saying there was a problem with your mailbox and that my message was 'rejected'

What you said though looks fine to me, let me know how you get on, you were obviously listening to me when we spoke as you have captured the salient points. ;)

Surprising at the amount of the PPI so far, how much is that to date that will be going into the IVA?

Best wishes, and good luck.

Mike

Well the offer has been made and I've had my 'meeting' on the phone for 45 minutes to go over things.

By their 'calculations' I am now -£37 per month so they will put the offer to creditors, I just need to send some paperwork, stop payments and hopefully find out mid-February if they will accept the offer, fingers crossed!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the update Jules64.

Everything will be crossed, have you been given a date yet for the creditors meeting?

May I wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year :!:

I have made an offer to end my IVA early, just waiting on paperwork to be done before they put it to creditors. Can I ask what will happen as there is equity in my home. Can I be 'forced' to re-mortgage.

We are just about coping each month with the mortgage payment and could not afford for them to go up any further

Any advice appreciated

Hello jules64

What are the basics of your offer offer to end the IVA early?

How much are you offering? What have the IVA firm said about PPI refunds and the need to re mortgage?

How long has your IVA been running up to the point of the offer being made?

I ask these questions because any offer you make you would ask that the re mortgage clause be removed as your offer is designed to end the IVA, final.

It could be that you are already deemed as not being unable to re mortgage and that you were put on a six year IVA to cover any equity. Therefore your offer should cover a six years IVA payment.

This is what I feel may have happened, you will need to check what the IVA firm is going to offer to your creditors. :?:

Best wishes,

Mike

Just had notification that the creditors meeting will take place in February! Feel sick!

Do people find that a lot of the time the companies do accept the offers that have been made? I don't think I will be able to sleep until its over with! I'm refusing to tell my husband the date, just want it over and done with.

Just want to go to sleep and wake up in March!!!!

Hello Jules64

Personally I feel you have nothing to worry about, a lot of people now have posted on this forum with exactly the same thing, got a creditors meeting coming up and making a full and final settlement offer to end the IVA early. Thinking back I can't remember losing one case that we have helped.

So my point to you is just sit tight, the IVA firm would not have put forward your offer if they did not think it was reasonable and had merit.

I did like you last comment Just want to go to sleep and wake up in March!!! as it sums up your anxiety and frustration at having to wait until March :!:

Best wishes,

Mike

Thanks for the reply. I just need to try and forget about it until the phone rings :o !!!!

Can I also add that my hubby is currently using Stake your Claim, they have been more than helpful and better still, there may even be a result

Hello Jules64

Thanks for the update and the feedback re the PPI firm we use on this website and forum.

Just beware that the IVA firm may wish to have a claim on your PPI (if you have any), but not hubbys :!:

Got that date yet for your creditors meeting?

Best wishes,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Yes I have a date, it's very soon - I refuse to even tell the hubby when it is!!!! He keeps asking but I'll break it to him after I receive 'that' call - I am so nervous. Just want it to go through so I can start afresh and start living again!

I really have learnt a very hard lesson and for the sake of my children, would never put us through that again!! If it's good news you'll be one of the first places I'll shout it from! Fingers crossed !!!
